Body, Mind, Spirit Series Workshop by Natural Wellness Transformations

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO AN ONLINE OFFERING DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC. PLEASE SEE BELOW HOW TO ATTEND:

Due to the current pandemic status and uncertainty regarding the safety of being in groups in public, I am suspending all in person Natural Wellness Transformations classes for March.

I would rather be overly cautious and protect our students and clients - many of whom are immune compromised, older, or otherwise more at risk.
We must all do what we can to slow the spread of the virus so that hospitals are able to care for everyone and do not become overwhelmed!!

However, pandemic scenarios can negatively impact small businesses, and we want to encourage our local wellness centers in these difficult situations.

In an effort to help support the Conscious Body Healing Arts Center family and Jasper Elliott Wolfe, who have so graciously welcomed my work into their space, I have created a Mind, Body, Spirit series online that delves into a lot of things the March classes at Conscious Body were going to cover.

The class is $30. There is an upgrade option to $50 that includes a 20 minute Skype tele-wellness consult with me.

A portion of the proceeds in both scenarios will benefit Jasper and will help to keep things running, even if lower attendance rates affect some of the bottom line.

You will learn more about mindfulness based stress reduction, herbalism for immune support, and secrets in the energy healing world.

Please tag friends that would be interested, share on your personal page, and come join us for an amazing journey that will also help keep support going to an amazing crew!!!

What is Ecotherapy?

Ecotherapy can take many forms but it is based on the scientific evidence that human beings are affected positively through their connection to the natural world. However, it is more than just a walk in the park. Not only do we need the exposure to sunlight, fresh air, water, and earth but on a spiritual level we must remember that we ARE Nature. Human beings are in a symbiotic and reciprocal relationship with Mother Earth. The health of the Earth is reflected in us and vice versa. Interdependence is the name of the game.

Many humans suffer from Nature Deficit Disorder and this can lead to depression, anxiety, and a feeling of unease. By reconnecting to our Source and purpose through intentional contact with Nature, we give ourselves the very best environment to heal from the stressors of modern day society.

However, this is not just a one sided relationship. Earth is not here solely for humans to consume and use. We are in a reciprocal relationship with her. By reconnecting on a spiritual level with Gaia, human beings understand their place in the system and what is required of them to give back to Earth.

Body Positive Birmingham Therapy Groups- Fall Semester

A Six-Week Body Image & Personal Growth Group
Fall Schedule
Tuesdays, 12:00-1:30pm
Dates: September 10 & 24; October 8 & 22; November 5 & 19

What are Body Positive Birmingham Groups?
Body Positive Birmingham therapy groups exist to empower women to embrace and care for the bodies they live in through the cultivation of community and compassion. Based on The Body Positive model, as well as our own expertise as mental health therapists, we utilize group work, meditation and yoga practices, and intuitive awareness to assist women in finding what self-care and wellness means for them. We seek to create a space of non-judgment and acceptance for women to find a space to connect and have meaningful discussions around the ways we relate to our bodies. These groups will be wellness-promoting, non-shaming, hope-instilling, solution-oriented, and will utilize a weight-neutral approach to health.

Body Positive Birmingham groups will last for 6 weeks, meeting twice monthly, and will be limited to 8 participants per session. These therapy groups are dedicated to the core competencies of The Body Positive model: Reclaiming Health, Practicing Intuitive Self Care, Cultivating Self-Love, Declaring Your Authentic Beauty, and Building Community (https://www.thebodypositive.org).

Who would benefit from BPB Groups?
Body Positive Birmingham groups are for women of any shape, size, age, race, religion, sexuality, or story who are interested in learning to love themselves more fully by engaging in authentic community. Please note, this is not considered eating disorder therapy, though it may be a beneficial addition for women in recovery from disordered eating.

She received her Masters in Counseling from UAB and has worked with a variety of adults, teens, and families in the Birmingham area concerned with anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, body image, relationships, spirituality, and life transitions.
